Russian Roulette

Ok! So after thoroughly listening to Rihanna's song. I've come to the realization that it's NOT about suicide. When I listen to it, this is what I hear.

I hear a story about a girl, who's going through a lot of pain with a guy who's trying to tear her down. He's telling her to take a gun and kill herself, figuratively meaning to give up on life, to stop and to let him control her. But throughout the song she's talking about how afraid she is, and how much she really does want to give up, but at the end of the chorus she's saying "I'm terrified but I'm not leaving, know that I must pass this test, so just pull the trigger". She's saying "LOOK HERE! I'M SCARED, YEA, BUT I'M GONNA GET THROUGH THIS, I'M GONNA BE STRONGER THAN THIS, SO YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU CAN OFF URSELF CUZ I'M NOT GONNA GIVE UP"
And I think whoever wrote that song, is the BOMB. Because it's so deep and you really have to think to get it. It's a song of empowerment, not a song of suicide and hopelessness. Cuddos to her.
Get over him!

Nuw Jazz'E N'fo Jik.

(-television broadcast- Note this post has no structure what so ever...expect to be teleported into my brain)

Well I was searching through my phone, which I'm happy to say I have successfully had for one complete year, and BOOYOW! ......--rewind--

So I was searching through the "Notes" section in my phone (you know...where you can write little notes to yourself or whatever), which I use to write down lyrics and just random things that pop in my head, and also, as you will find out, where I write down important things I know I'll never remember on my own. So I was searching through it...doodie doo...and I came across the name of this clothing store that ends up being super important to me. Ok? So here's the story behind the Clothing Store "United Colors of Benetton" (note: If you've never heard of it, don't be alarmed...because before this experience I had never heard of it either)

So me and my sisters spent the night over our friend Heather's house (hi heather ^_^) and we decided to go to the Santa Monica 3rd street Promenade, so while we were walking around, we stumble across this store and these people ask us if we want to do a video, about our clothing style and just about us period. So we're like YEA! and we...did the video. And they told us it would be broadcast in their store and on the website. So, long story short we all forgot about it until today when I found the title of the store in my phone and BOOYOW!! I looked it up and we were on the site. ^_^

Note...we shot this video like....7 months ago. lol. But it was cool seeing us on there. I would post the link but I looked a MESS in the video. It's crazy cuz in the video I said "Well I'm the laid back chick, tshirt and jeans, I don't believe in dressing up for EVERY occassion"...

Well I'm happy to report that I no longer think that way, and that, in fact, I dress up for every occassion now. Tsk Tskers.

THROWBACK:

Ok all my hip, cool, jazzy folks out there. For those of you who were surfing Youtube back in the DAY! Specifically around 06/07. Then you probably ran across this video here. I thought it was HILARIOUS!! The part that had me laughing most was the "YOU HEAR ME?!" part. Man...I cracked up when I first saw this. I was at my...old bestfriends house and we were chillen and she pulled it up. Man! Some people just have too much time on their hands but you know what...I would totally make a video like this. How do I know...???? Cuz I wrote a song about Bacon...

I Can HOOYAH, ya?????

Well, it's no surprise that Chris Brown has managed to "bounce back", so to speak, from the horrible publicity he's been getting since Feb. 09, with his two new singles "I can Transform Ya" and "Crawl" (i happen to love the latter). But! One thing troubles me about his "I Can Transform Ya" video...

Chris, Chris, Chris...Why on earth are you doing KARATE in this video??! I don't understand it. Trust us, we already know you can fight. Now I'm not a big fan of either Rihanna or Chris, so please don't take this as a bash on him, because I'm totally neutral on the situation, though I don't care too much for either of them, they have nice music. But seriously Chris. Come on now. The song is cool and catchy, but the whole "Ninja Gaiden" thing, just...wasn't really too C.A.T smart.

But all n all, here we are. Chris Brown's Video: "I Can Transform Ya"

Data Entry #5: Olsenboye

I find myself strongly attracted to Olsenboye. It's a pretty nice, simple brand of clothes that are now being sold at JCPenney's. Not to mention I like the video that they have on their homepage at http://olsenboye.com/
It's like every girls dream life w/her friends. We're all crowded on a bed packing things in a suitcase, laughing and being silly. We all look cute, then we catch a cab to some distant part of the city and meet up with MORE of our homegirls and we all walk away smiling, off to have a nice time out in the city. Yup...It totally plays on your heart-strings.

So hey, check them out, and who knows, you might just fall in love with them too.

(click on one of the pictures and it'll take you to the JCPenney's page where you can purchase the clothes)

Data Entry #4: Job Shadowing

Well all you personalities out there with your fancy fly fortitudes, I just came back from an AWESOME experience. I got the wonderful opportunity of interviewing one of the hit producers/songwriters behind "The High School Musical" soundtrack who helped make it a hit, Mister Andrew Lane.

It was an awesome experience! I got to hang in the studio, go in the booth (didn't spit any flows though, you know you know -pops collar- i gotta keep mah playa card on the hush n hush), and learnt about all of the cool tiny bits that you'd never know about a studio, unless you were in there. And YES everyone, we did blast some tracks in there like you've seen artists do on TV. It was really cool and so inspirational. His studio was simple and had GREAT A.C. (don't worry, that's not "music" lingo, I really am talking about his Air Conditioning).

All n All, I give the trip an A+. My dad is awesome for taking me, and Andy's awesome for being so humble and for taking out the time to teach me the ropes, and to give me such amazing advice that will help me in my endeavors to take on the musical world by storm and spread my Girl on it, like buttered toast. Mmmm.

All n, once again, All, today was an amazingly, tiring, cold, inspirational, fulfillingly, healthy day.

Oooh Yeaaahhhh. Adjective your Life Son!

The Fashion Sin.

Credit cards are so 6 years ago. We make money now. And we equally spend it. Preferrably on those clothy items that cover our nuded skin. Shop! Shop! Shop! We go!

H&M, Claires, Forever 21, Old Navy, Payless, Hollister (Only in my world will Payless, Old Navy, and Hollister be used in the same context), and such. She leaves each store with shopping bags to fill her "only in my dreams" closet. She struts over to her BMW and pops the trunk, placing as many of her bags as she can, the rest go in her back seat. Finally, she sits in the drivers seat and sighs. As she starts her engine she looks over the bits of herself that she can see and she tells her body, "Don't say I never lived for you".

Data Entry #2: Buying a Camera

My goodness!

It is really hard to choose a good, reliable, SLR. Especially if you're a first timer. I've been searching for one all day and I really wanted to go with a name brand that I was familiar with and that I know has good cameras, plus...I wanted a reasonable price. But I did look at other cameras from different brands such as Sony, and Pentax, (cuz lets face it...Olympus was sooo out of the question). But thanks to long hours of searching and comparing, and also thanks to my personal photography guide, (winks to him), I've finally come to my decision as to which one I'm going to get.

It's a simple "first time owner of a SLR" camera. A Canon Rebel XS with 10.1 mp. It's a pretty cool camera, on Amazon they have uploaded photos that people took with the camer
a, and it also has pretty good ratings. I just hope it does me some justice in my endeavors to take on the world of photography. Though it's a hobby, it's no fun if you don't have the right equipment.
I'm pretty excited to get it and I hope it lives up to my expectations, if not. I'm sending it back...of course.

BTW, I'm not buying it from Amazon, no way! I don't like the idea of buying it from sites like that. Especially if they don't have warranty's...OH NO! So I looked to see if they had it on qvc.com, since it has payment plans (hey...don't hate). And BOOM CHIKA WAW WAW, they had it! I was so happy. So I sent the link to my mom, since she'd be the one getting it for me, and I'm just gonna wait and see what she does. YAY ME! Hopefully I'll have it by December. Who knows. But in all cases, I'll blog and let you guys know how the camera works n stuff.

Thanks for letting me temporarily use your eyeballs,
